Description

A cozy and comforting casserole featuring biscuits baked with savory sausage gravy and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups of biscuit dough
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Whisk together the flour, milk, and seasonings until smooth, then pour into the skillet with the sausage, stirring until thickened.
  4. Cut the biscuit dough into pieces and place them in a greased casserole dish.
  5. Pour the creamy sausage gravy over the biscuit pieces and sprinkle cheese on top if desired.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.

Notes
