Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Whisk together the flour, milk, and seasonings until smooth, then pour into the skillet with the sausage, stirring until thickened.
- Cut the biscuit dough into pieces and place them in a greased casserole dish.
- Pour the creamy sausage gravy over the biscuit pieces and sprinkle cheese on top if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.
