Description

Deliciously buttery sautéed mushrooms that are quick, easy, and perfect as a side dish or meal prep addition.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mushrooms (cremini, button, or shiitake)
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Gently wipe them with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, then slice them into even pieces for uniform cooking.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. The combination will enhance the flavor and create a rich texture.
  3. Add the mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden.

Notes

Can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Aim for slices about ¼ inch thick for even cooking.
