Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle yeast over the top. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add melted butter, flour, salt, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 slices. Place in a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth for the frosting.
  9. Spread frosting over warm rolls. Serve fresh, and watch them disappear!

Notes

You can prepare the dough a day in advance and let it rise in the fridge overnight. Use dental floss for slicing rolls neatly.
