- 1 pound fresh jalapeño peppers
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Slice the jalapeños, wearing gloves to protect your skin, into rounds.
- Combine the granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt in a medium saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the sliced jalapeños to the saucepan and simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
- Jar the hot mixture into sterilized jars, sealing them while hot.
- Cool the jars completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
Notes
