Delicious and easy-to-make cranberry crumble bars with a sweet-tart filling and buttery crust, perfect for autumn gatherings.

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until smooth and buttery. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
- Combine the cranberries, brown sugar, and orange zest in another bowl, then spread this filling over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining crust mixture on top of the cranberry layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before drizzling with a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Make them ahead and store for up to 3 days at room temperature. Freezes well.
