Description

A dreamy, no-bake Easter Trifle Dessert with layers of sponge cake, creamy vanilla pudding, fresh fruit, and whipped cream, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Sponge cake or ladyfingers
  • Instant vanilla pudding mix
  • Milk (as directed on pudding package)
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh fruit (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, bananas)
  • Shaved chocolate or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sponge cake or ladyfingers according to package instructions, and allow to cool completely.
  2. Mix the instant vanilla pudding mix with milk according to the package directions, then gently fold in the whipped cream until it’s velvety smooth.
  3. Start layering in a large trifle dish or individual glasses: place pieces of the sponge cake first, followed by a generous layer of the creamy pudding, and then a delightful layer of fresh fruit.
  4. Repeat the layers until your dish or glasses are full, ending with a cloud of whipped cream on top.
  5. If desired, garnish with delicate shavings of chocolate or a sprinkle of nuts.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing a day in advance, and store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
