- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. During the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or chickpeas for a protein boost. Squeeze fresh lemon juice before serving for a zesty flavor.
