Description

A cozy and nutritious broccoli pasta dish that is quick to prepare and perfect for the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta of choice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. During the last 2-3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or chickpeas for a protein boost. Squeeze fresh lemon juice before serving for a zesty flavor.
