- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (e.g., basil, parsley), finely chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
- Mix together the ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, fresh herbs, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined and creamy.
- Stuff each cooked shell generously with the cheese mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish, covering it completely.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish, open side up, and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle extra mozzarella on top for that irresistible cheesy crust.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
