A cozy Hamburger Potato Casserole that layers creamy potatoes with juicy ground beef and savory cheese, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef (halal)
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite cheese)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat; season with salt and pepper, cooking for 5–7 minutes.
- Mix in the cream of mushroom soup and milk until well combined.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper and add half of the beef mixture.
- Add half of the shredded cheese on top, then repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
This casserole can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. It can also be frozen before baking.
