Description
A comforting blend of a classic cheeseburger and hearty pasta, Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta is a quick and indulgent weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 6 slices turkey bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the short pasta of your choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Crisp the bacon: While the beef cooks, chop the crispy turkey bacon into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine ingredients: Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until melted and combined. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Add pasta & cheese: Fold in the drained pasta and turkey bacon into the beef mixture. Gradually add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, stirring until everything is well coated and creamy.
- Serve & enjoy: Serve the Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta immediately, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
Notes
Make-ahead friendly; can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat on the stove with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
