Description

Delightful pineapple fritter rings, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can pineapple rings or fresh pineapple, sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Whisk the milk and egg in another bowl until creamy.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dip each pineapple ring into the batter, letting excess drip off.
  6. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Prepare the batter in advance and store in the fridge for a few hours. For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free flour blend with xanthan gum.
