Description

These Quick Pickled Radishes are a vibrant and zesty addition to salads, tacos, or enjoyed straight from the jar.


Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of fresh radishes
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of peppercorns (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds (optional)
  • 1 clove of garlic (sliced, optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the radishes into thin rounds.
  2. Combine the water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small pot.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve completely.
  4. Add peppercorns, mustard seeds, and sliced garlic if desired.
  5. Place the sliced radishes in a clean jar.
  6. Pour the pickling liquid over the radishes, ensuring they’re fully submerged.
  7. Cool the jar to room temperature and then refrigerate.
  8. Allow the radishes to pickle for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

These quick pickled radishes can be made up to a week in advance and enjoyed for about two weeks in the fridge.
