Description

A quick and nutritious side dish of roasted green beans tossed with garlic and Parmesan, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Wash and trim the fresh green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly.
  3. Toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until fully coated.
  4. Spread the green beans out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle the green beans with grated Parmesan and return to the oven for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melty and browned.
  7. Serve immediately, with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired.

Notes
