Description

A warm and comforting recipe for golden-brown salmon patties that bring together family and love in every bite.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon or 1 can of salmon, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the salmon if using fresh, then flake into a bowl. If using canned, drain it well.
  2. Combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry each patty for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm in sliders or as burgers with toppings of your choice.

Notes

Make-ahead by preparing the mixture and refrigerating it for up to 24 hours. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
