Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh salmon or 1 can of salmon, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cook the salmon if using fresh, then flake into a bowl. If using canned, drain it well.
- Combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry each patty for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm in sliders or as burgers with toppings of your choice.
Notes
Make-ahead by preparing the mixture and refrigerating it for up to 24 hours. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
