Description

A comforting breakfast casserole featuring turkey sausage, hashbrowns, and cheddar cheese, perfect for cozy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound turkey sausage (or ham/turkey bacon)
  • 1 package (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey sausage (or chosen meat) in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Combine hashbrowns, cooked sausage, and half of the cheese in a large bowl. Spread this mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Beat the eggs with milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in another bowl.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the hashbrown mixture. Top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until eggs are set and golden on top.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared a day in advance and is perfect for meal prep. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
