Description

A heartwarming dish of savory beef meatballs combined with crisp broccoli in a rich, sticky sauce, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined. Form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Place the meatballs and broccoli florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Combine hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until thickened and glossy.
  5. Drizzle the sticky sauce over the meatballs and broccoli.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the broccoli is tender and crisp.
  7. Serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes. Cheese can be added during the last baking minutes for an indulgent twist. Customize by swapping broccoli for other veggies.
