- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat and drain the excess fat.
- Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Fill each pepper with the meat and rice mixture, packing it in well.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish, standing them upright.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
