Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.
  2. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and fully combined.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Cover and chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to create thick, bakery-style cookies.
  6. Scoop the dough into large balls and place them on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  8. Let the cookies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm for that gooey, melted chocolate texture.
