Instructions
- Boil the water: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
- Add the tea: Once boiling, add the loose black tea or tea bags to steep. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the vanilla: Slice open the vanilla bean and scrape out the seeds.
- Mix in milk: After steeping, lower the heat and add 1 cup of milk along with the vanilla seeds or extract.
- Sweeten and spice: Stir in sugar or honey and a pinch of salt, adjusting to taste. Add cinnamon or cardamom if desired.
- Strain and serve: Strain the liquid into cups if using loose tea, and enjoy warm.
