Description

A comforting classic featuring creamy Velveeta cheese and tender broccoli, topped with crunchy Ritz crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped onions or garlic for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the broccoli in a large pot until tender and then drain well.
  3. Mix the Velveeta cheese and milk in a separate saucepan over low heat until melted and combined into a creamy mixture.
  4. Combine the cooked broccoli with the cheese mix in a mixing bowl, being gentle to keep the broccoli florets intact.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to your preference.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
  7. Sprinkle the crushed Ritz crackers on top for that delightful crunch.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
  9. Serve warm as a treasured side dish and watch it disappear!
