Description

A delightful Vietnamese Coffee Jelly Dessert that combines bold coffee with creamy coconut, perfect for warm days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups brewed strong coffee
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon agar-agar powder
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine the agar-agar powder with water in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until dissolved.
  2. Add sugar and coffee to the mixture, and stir well to combine all the flavors.
  3. Pour half of the coffee mixture into a mold and let it set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat the coconut cream in another saucepan and add the remaining sugar, stirring until dissolved into a creamy blend.
  5. Pour the coconut cream mixture over the set coffee jelly layer in your mold and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Finally, pour the remaining coffee mixture on top and let it set completely in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tip: This dessert can be prepared a day in advance. Store it covered in the refrigerator and enjoy within 2-3 days.
