Description

An easy and comforting Cherry Dump Cake, perfect for chilly evenings with loved ones.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 16 oz can of crushed pineapple (do not drain)
  • 1 28 oz can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 18 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9″x11″ baking pan.
  3. Add the crushed pineapple (without draining) to the pan and spread it out evenly.
  4. Layer the cherry pie filling on top of the crushed pineapple, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Mix the chopped pecans into the yellow cake mix and then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the fruit layer.
  6. Slice the stick of butter into pats and dot the top of the cake mix with the butter.
  7. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

This cake pairs wonderfully with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Feel free to customize with different fruit fillings or toppings!
